Siberian Iris colourMy first homegrown Iris (summer 2024) and it produced just one small flower! She may be small but she does have a certain devil may care panache. She just knows she is rather fabulous, as she throws her purple silk designer scarf over her shoulder. I like to think that my flower portraits express a bit of personality. A humble leaf suddenly becomes something graphic and monumental

Scops owls hunt from perches in semi-open landscapes

From underneath this large macaw parrot is almost completely scarlet but from above the plumage creates a dramatic rainbow spectrum of colour

pink tulips can represent a more gentle love

This is not a problem as it more than makes up for this by being able to turn its head up to 270 degrees left or right from the forward facing position

I love the pattern and detail in these spherically shaped blooms

These clusters rise on tall stalks above the plant's strappy
